Moland Holiday Luncheon

This event is SOLD OUT. Please check back next year for the next Holiday Luncheon at Moland.

Moland Holiday Luncheon
Sunday, November 5, 2023 from 12:30 -3:30

Featuring Marquise de Lafayette

This November we will gather to celebrate her birthday.

Alisa Dupuy will visit the Moland House to celebrate the life of Mrs. Lafayette. Adrienne Lafayette was born November 2nd, 1759. While her husband is a national hero to us for his participation in the American Revolution, the Marquise also had an exciting history of her own.

Alisa Dupuy is a recently retired teacher and preforms for The Ladies of History Historical Productions.

Catered by: William Keucher, Our Towne Catering, Chalfont, PA

The Moland House
Did You Know? 🃏Take a closer look at the playing cards in the children’s bedroom and you may notice something different — there are no numbers or letters in the corners. On older playing cards, people could tell what card they had by counting the suit symbols, or “pips,” such as the hearts, clubs, spades, or diamonds. Face cards were also recognized by their pictures instead of the J, Q, and K we are used to seeing today. It may seem like a small difference, but details like this show how everyday objects have changed over time.Next time you visit, see if you can spot these cards in the children’s bedroom! 🃏✨ Interested in visiting or volunteering at The Moland House?
