Visit Susan McLellan Plaisted, Proprietress, Heart to Hearth Cookery at the Moland House on Sunday, August 9, 2026 from 1 to 4 pm as a salt-glazed crock of asparagus preserved April 12, 2026 will be opened and the asparagus dressed in the same Manner you do those that are newly gather’d. The Franklinia was named after Benjamin Franklin. It is extinct in the wild and survives only through plants propagated from seeds collected by botanists John and William Bartram in the 1760’s.
