Charles Cotesworth Pinckney was an American politician who was a signer and principal author of the United States Constitution, the 37th Governor of South Carolina, a Senator and a member of the House of Representatives. At the Moland House he was an aide to the Commander as a Lt. Colonel. He did not attend the Moland House Council of War meeting on August 21, 1777. He was born on October 26, 1757 and died on October 29, 1824.
